 Two women, early twenties,

in string bikinis

work on their tan.

Three men with fishing rods trudge by,

joking about the fish

they almost caught. When

they’re out of earshot,

the girl in the red bikini,

pulls herself up on an elbow,

says indignantly, “We must

be losing it—they didn’t give us

a glance let alone ogle

and guy on the right

was kind of cute too.
